Research in the areas of robotics and dynamic electromechanical control systems, including modeling and simulation, with emphasis on environmental controls such as for aquaculture.

This laboratory supports other specialized labs; in particular, ultrasonic imaging of textile materials, design of acoustic electronic interface and processing equipment, circuit design and printed wiring board fabrication. Future efforts are expected to include displays and microprocessor development.

This lab is designed to construct and test electronic prototype circuits. There are many modern tools available for design, fabrication, and test purposes such as a phosphorous display oscilloscope and test equipment, including function generators, digital multi-meters, power supplies and frequency analyzers.
