Lab Description | Current Projects | Related Faculty and Staff

 


This lab is for fabricating metal, plastics and/or wood components. The lab includes a CNC lathe and a CNC Vertical Machining Center. These machines are fully automatic. After loading a CAD image onto its computer, and having the proper stock in the machine, the process is automated.

The other sections of this lab include a Welding Shop and Tool Room with manual lathe, milling machine, and other machine tools, and a Materials and Stock Area and a Wood and Plastic Prototype Shop, plus an Open Area with band saw, brake, shear, and grinders.
