Larry Cameron – Financing Strategies

Larry has been active in economic development activities in southeastern Massachusetts for more than 10 years. He currently is vice president for business development with MassDevelopment working out of the Agency's south region office in Fall River, and previously was southeast regional director for the Massachusetts Office of Business Development. He has helped several hundred businesses and not-for-profit agencies in the region with obtaining capital financing, state and local tax incentives, and other state business assistance services.

Prior to his economic development work, Larry had a 17-year career in municipal government, serving as the chief administrative officer in the towns of Dartmouth, Sherborn and Rowley, Mass.

Larry has a Masters degree in Public Administration from Suffolk University, and a bachelor degree from Southeastern Mass. University, now UMass Dartmouth. He has completed the Risk Management Association's Loan Officer Resident Seminar. He is an adherent to the principle of Occam's razor, or its modern day equivalent of “when you hear hoof beats, think horses, not zebras”.
