Brian R. Gilmore – Manufacturing & Innovation
On October 3, 1988, Brian Gilmore commenced his duties as Director of Public Affairs at Associated Industries of Massachusetts.
A.I.M. represents more than 7,500 companies, which employ more than a half million persons in the Commonwealth. The Association is one of the largest business organizations in the state, and one of the largest state employer associations in the nation.
Gilmore brings a wealth of diverse experience to A.I.M., including service as: Director of Legislative Affairs for the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce; Director of Human Resource Development and Community Leadership for the Greater Hartford Chamber of Commerce; Executive Director of the Massachusetts Association of Public Accountants; and Director of Student Activities at Greenfield Community College.
Active in community affairs, his current and past community leadership positions include: Director of the Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership, Voce Chair of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge, Inc; Commissioner of the City of Boston Zoning Commission; Director of the Association for Corporate Growth – Boston Chapter; Chairman of the National Association of Community Leadership Organizations; Treasurer of the Martin Luther King Jr., Youth Foundation, Inc.; and a co-founder of the Arts Council of Franklin County (Massachusetts).
A native of Westwood, Massachusetts, Gilmore completed his undergraduate and graduate work at Suffolk University, and has undertaken additional graduate studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and at Harvard University. Gilmore resides in Milton, Massachusetts with his wife Theresa Gaffney.
